A Guide to Eco Chic

Eco Chic is a phrase you may have heard on the television or radio, or you have seen it written in magazines or on the Internet; but what exactly does the term Eco Chic refer to?

The ‘eco’ part, as you could guess, is about the ecology and how the organic fashion helps the environment. The eco refers to green clothing, clothing that is made from recycled materials or has been bought from fair trade suppliers who are paid fairly for their produce, ensuring they are able to earn a living.

The ‘chic’ part of the phrase refers to the organic fashion itself and how it is perceived in the fashion world. Eco Chic green clothing is seen as fashionable and is becoming part of the latest celebrity fashion too; it is often seen endorsed by, and adorning, celebrities such as Natalie Portman and Adrian Grenier (the star of ‘Entourage’). Eco Chic means not only to care about the environment enough to buy green clothing and organic fashion, but that you want to look good while doing it.

The emergence of Eco Chic also helps to spread the word of organic fashion, making caring for the environment fashionable and cool, which is important if people really are going to make a different and reduce their carbon footprint.

Famous Lingerie Scenes in Movies

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 9:58 am

When it comes to selling lingerie, nothing really does it quite like the movies. The sight of beautiful women such as Megan Fox, Halle Berry and Cameron Diaz looking fabulous in their underwear is enough to inspire any woman to head to the shops, and usually enough to persuade any man to get his wallet out for his partner.

A great scene for lingerie in the movies came in the film True Lies, where Jamie Lee Curtis, famed for her body, performed a strip tease for her husband, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Jamie Lee stripped down to her bra and knickers before the scene ended prematurely by the arrival of some soldiers.

You can’t mention lingerie in the movies without mentioning Weird Science with Kelly Le Brock. Kelly spent most of the movie in her nightwear, and was even greeted in the movie by the two excited boys who had created her on the computer while they wore bras on their head.

One of the most famous lingerie scenes in the movies didn’t actually feature any women’s underwear at all, namely the scene from Basic Instinct where Sharon Stone revealed to a shocked Michael Douglas that she wasn’t wearing any knickers!

Whether underwear is being worn, or famously not being worn it always plays a major part in films.

Who is looking fabulous in “Green” this summer?

Going green isn’t just a choice of green clothing; it’s a lifestyle that we should all follow. One celebrity who has adopted the green mentality and has chosen to embrace organic fashion is actress Rachel Leigh Cook, star of ‘She’s All That’.

Rachel is pictured on the cover of Coco Eco magazine this month, declaring her love for fair trade fashion and the environment. Cook states in the magazine that her efforts to go green are beginning at home, where she even saves her rubbish from a night at the movies in order to take home and recycle.

It is celebrity fashion and going green that Rachel is really interested in though, as she stated in the interview:

I definitely like to get the word out on green fashion. Why not? When you can do something that’s more globally conscious and help out our economy.

For the photo shoot for the front cover of the magazine Rachel has insisted on eco friendly fashion, such as fairtrade fashion. The Hollywood actress is a firm believer in green clothing and tries to spread the word on organic fashion wherever she can.

Rachel continued:

It’s the right thing to do. I’m consistently surprised to see people who want to tempt fate with their beliefs about the myth of global warming. That’s really terrifying to me. So I think I have to compensate for some people who aren’t with the program.

Green clothing is something that should concern us all.
