Ascension: The Eco Fashion Company

Ascension is an online eco fashion company specialising in ethical fashion for men, women and children. Ascension also sells jewellery, cosmetics and a full range of products for house and home.

Ascension stocks a wide range of eco fashion products from both well known trade names and small independent producers, across the globe. To promote fair trade still further, they are working with small producer groups in countries like India and Nepal to create the unique Ascension clothing fashion collections.

The company’s commitment to ethical trading is obvious from the moment you view Ascension online. Ascension clothing is sourced from all four corners of the globe, following strict fair trade guidelines and with organic or recycled materials used wherever possible.

Ascension works alongside new young designers, established eco fashion supply chains, and small independent producers to create the Ascension online catalogue. The result is an inspiring and extensive collection of stylish, affordable eco fashion products that are beautifully crafted and collected together in one easy-to-use marketplace.

Buying Ascension online gives you access to a full range of “eco chic” clothing in an easy to shop atmosphere. Ascension’s philosophy is to prove that eco fashion can be both chic and affordable.

Brands stocked by Ascension online include well known fashion names like Komodo, Namaste and Frank and Faith. In contrast, small groups like Rwanda Artisans have a unique platform from which to trade – either as stand-alone brands, or under the Ascension clothing label.

Ascension clothing is proof that eco fashion can be craftsman made and stylish – yet still totally affordable.

Matching Underwear - Does it Really Matter?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:06 pm

Many women tend to buy their bras and knickers as and when the need arises. In doing so, they have almost reduced the action of buying underwear to that of a commodity, like buying bread or milk.

Others spend ages choosing pretty underwear sets, splashing out on silk and satin lingerie that’s matched to perfection - only to discontinue the exercise the moment it’s put in the drawer. It’s not that they want to grab the first thing that comes to hand – it’s just that in today’s busy work-a-day world, there’s simply too much to think about to worry about matching up knickers and bras.

A lot of women would argue, what’s the big deal? Outside of romantic liaisons, does it really matter if my bra doesn’t match my knickers? Well, of course it matters. Why else would designers put such emphasis on creating underwear sets in a myriad of styles and colours? We take care over matching our outer garments, so why not our underwear too?

In catalogues or on the hanger, lingerie is always displayed as matching underwear sets. It looks good, and gives us a psychological lift when we put it on. That lift can be repeated over and over again – the perfect antidote to a bad day.

So here’s a tip: make a concerted effort to ditch all those mismatched bras and knickers, and stock up on some pretty underwear sets. If you stick to neutrals and simple classics, it’s not hard to do – and the result will be perfect.
